I have an older futon mattress that was very expensive and I've kept it young with a memory foam mattress topper, and comforters. It's very thick. The box shows that you stand the mattress on end to put the protector on..like a pillow case. I was defeated until I opened the package and saw this fabulous zipper the length of 3 sides.i unzipped it and found that if I kept the mattress on the bed, gathered the cover and put it on one end and slid it down the length like you're putting on a nylon stocking ( girls should picture this :) then it took less than 5 min. and that zipper brought it all together. Nice deep corners...the fabric is great quality. Make sure to fold the flap down at one end to cover the zipper. With the cover and pillow covers I sleep so much better. Great product and price.
