The problem was where to store it. I stored it in the microwave, but my microwave is also an oven and I forgot it was in there and put the oven on onto preheat and melted it, not great. This fold down design means I can store it in the cupboard really easily and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. I prefer the height on these as they are slightly higher than my last one. They were really good value for money as there are three in the pack. Review: ❂Great microwave covers❂ - ❂The covers are really great. What I like best is that they are foldable and can be hung up using the hanging loop to save space and are not a frequent kitchen nuisance like their predecessors. Apart from that, the covers do what they are supposed to do and are a very good splash guard in my microwave.(ô‿ô) ## Features - EASY STORAGEMicrowave plate cover height collapses to 1 inch and expands to 3.3 inches, it can easily be stored in any cabinet, cupboard, or drawer for easy storage. - SCIENTIFIC DESGINMicrowave save cover with multiple perforations allow steam to escape. What I like best is that they are foldable and can be hung up using the hanging loop to save space and are not a frequent kitchen nuisance like their predecessors. Apart from that, the covers do what they are supposed to do and are a very good splash guard in my microwave.(ô‿ô) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Check it’s dimensions *by A***T on 19 January 2026* Does the job of controlling splashes onto the interior of the microwave oven very effectively, but consider the height of the dome if you want to store it in the vicinity of your microwave. This did not occur to me when ordering and it is just too large to keep it on top of the oven when not in use. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/290723852-2-pack-collapsible-microwave-food-covers-splatter-guard-vented-microwave](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/290723852-2-pack-collapsible-microwave-food-covers-splatter-guard-vented-microwave) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
