Review: Excellent for dematting - This rake works so well on both my Havanese and Cavapoo. It's angled in such a way that it makes it much easier to cut through the mats than other dematttong tools I have tried. Highly recommend!
Review: Super easy! - Works very well! Cuts though small to tough mats. My maincoon cat gets them under her front arms and they are hard to remove at times..especially when her fine rabbit like undercoat starts getting all tangled up. So happy to find a reasonable price well made comb. She disent like being clipped so this is way faster! And it should make it easier now to stay on top of her shedding now since after about 4 rounds today..she is mat free! We both earned treats!

**Q: Is this safe for toy dog breeds?**
A: I used on my schnauzer who was severely matted and could not remove any matting without causing the dog much discomfort.

**Q: I am left handed and I would like to know if the blades can be transferred to the other side of the tool.**
A: Yes, there is a screw you take out and can switch the blade to go the other way.

**Q: could it clip the fur instead of using electric clippers**
A: I wouldn't say it clips like an electric clipper so I would say no. It's very good at combing through knots in the fur.

**Q: Are the blades sharp as compared to the Mars Coat King(which is an undercoat rake)?**
A: As far as I can tell the blades are fairly sharp but well protected.  I used it to remove mats from my adopted cat and it worked well but did remove some hair that I hadn't intended to remove.

Works very well! Cuts though small to tough mats. Really like this little tool. I have a mini Aussie with very wild, easily tangled war hair, and keeping the fur behind his ear untangled isn't very easy. I thought I was doing well with 2x/week brushing but I started to to find pretty intense mats when i was rubbing behind his ears. Normal brushes just get the fur on top, this little tool get all the way down into his double coat and helps me get rid of mats. I think it may pull the fur a little, but once I get all the mats out and it just regular maintenance, I think it will be fine. I downgraded a star bc you can only use the tool in one direction. I found it much easier to brush River's right ear than his left. The tool may be a little harder to use for lefties. I wish the manufacturer would put teeth on either side of the tool sound you could flip it when you needed to brush in a different direction or another ear.
