I had a hard time getting old ones off and new ones on. No fault of the mirror, GM provides a tiny hole to work in. on the doors. It's doable. It took me longer to swap out than I thought it owuld be. I like the extra wide mirrors. I like the design of the new ones. The extra support brack provided really stiffend up the new mirrors. I hope I don't tear them off when I have them extended all the way out. I wanted them on my because I removed the standard bed and install an 8' wide flat bed. I installed these on a 1998 Chevy 3500.
