I was told the rings were needed to keep the bowls from cracking. The little bit of rust stain hasn't hurt my bowls. I like them. **Q: Is the metal ring necessary? Mine started rusting during brining. Can I just remove them without damaging the bowl?** A: Dear customer, please only season the inside of the stone bowl following the instructions. The ring is made of stainless steel and meant to reinforce the bowl, therefore we don't suggest removing the ring. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice bowls *by A***R on 11 March 2024* Beautiful bowls, ive been getting alot of use out of them....
