It is rated for 100 amps. You need to know what your load is so you don't overload it. I have a real concern for your ears if you need all of its power! **Q: I saw a previous question that was answered very vaguely: I see the title saying it's rated at 100 amps but the pictures say 75amp, which is it??** A: I bought a 100A unit, received a 100A unit. Picture showed 75A. **Q: can it start a car with a dead battery?** A: Yes AND no. It is not a jump starter but can re-charge a battery over time from being very weak. More info would be needed based on your situation. **Q: Can this be used to charge a battery overnight or will it overcharge/fry a battery?** A: You can charge a battery with this but the usage is more for a battery maintainer in programming in automotive vehicles. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maintained power supply during diagnostics & coding *by E***F on July 27, 2026* PowerMax power supply was the perfect charger to maintain battery during diagnostic and coding of ecu's.
