Ideal for artists and creatives seeking long-lasting, museum-quality protection. ## Description In addition to the widest array of Professional and Student colors, Liquitex offers the broadest possible range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. We understand that mediums are often a difficult concept to grasp until you actually dive into them, so we’ve tried to simplify usage by classifying products in three distinct categories: Prep, Paint, and Finish. Surface preparations set the foundation for stable and permanent color applications by sealing and adding tooth to almost any painting surface. We offer five different types of prep products available to accommodate all types of work. Within the painting category, there are several different types of products you would use besides the color itself. They are Fluid Mediums, Gel Mediums, Additives, and Texture Gels. Each of these products are explained further within this brochure. These painting mediums allow an artist to adjust the working and optical properties of the paint film to accomplish an astonishing variety of techniques and applications. Varnishes are applied over a completed piece of work to change or unify the surface sheen and protect the painted surface from the environment and ultraviolet light. Whether you are PREPing the surface, PAINTing the masterpiece, or adding the crucial FINISHing touch, Liquitex offers the proper medium to achieve any desired result. Explore your possibilities even further by mixing Liquitex acrylic color with any of our mediums. ## Features - Archival; Permanent; Non-Removable; Satin Gloss finish - Lightweight, non-toxic; Dries to a non-tacky, hard, flexible surface; Non-yellowing and water-resistant when dry - Includes 8-oz / 237ml bottle of medium - Intermixable with Liquitex Professional Acrylic Paint Colors and Mediums. - Conforms to ASTM D4236; Safe for educational use ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B001US6NPM | | Best Sellers Rank | #6 in Varnishes | | Date First Available | 5 September 2012 | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Model Number | 8208 | | Manufacturer | ColArt Americas | | Product Dimensions | 5.72 x 5.72 x 14.45 cm; 272.16 g | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Liquitex - **Colour:** Satin - **Finish type:** Satin - **Item volume:** 0.59 Fluid Ounces - **Size:** 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) ## Images ![Satin Varnish - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71nCrBYhOKL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Protective and Professional Acrylic Varnish *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 15 January 2026* Excellent acrylic varnish. Smooth application, satin finish, and good protection for artworks. Easy to use and enhances colors beautifully. ## Frequently Bought Together - Liquitex Professional Satin Varnish, 237ml (8-oz) - Liquitex BASICS Acrylic Paint, 250ml (8.5-oz) Tube, Titanium White - Liquitex BASICS Matte Varnish, 250ml, 8.4-oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/285866646-satin-varnish](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/285866646-satin-varnish) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
