Review: This Was It - This was by far the best belt of the three we ordered to try for my husband's inguinal hernia. When we ordered the belt, he had a protrusion that hurt, but after a short time of putting pressure on the hernia by the design of this belt (exactly in the right place with a nice compact pad), the protrusion disappeared, and pain went away. He says it is very comfortable, and will continue to wear until surgery, which is considered non-emergency and won't happen for two-months. The other two belts we ordered both had a plastic ring that the leg strap threads through near the groin, and we had read in some reviews of those belts that it was uncomfortable. This belt has no plastic ring to worry about, and length of leg strap is easily adjustable. Other belts also had massively oversized pads.

Then starting in the latter 80’s, started going to the gym and used free weights on regular basis for decades. No issues with hernia until 2022 when it reappeared out of nowhere. Then I remembered I had it way back when. It isn’t a very large bulge, and doesn’t hurt. Doctor said not to worry unless something changes. I asked about a truss and he said I could try one. Wanted to get the Uriel as I read great things about it. But not available in my size. Somewhere along the way clicking and reading saw something about the Flexamed being a newer version of - I believe - the Uriel. At any rate, purchased a small and medium. The small is the one I use the most. I’m small…33” measurement around hips. But the medium also works for me. After finally figuring out the leg strap (bring it under and then straight up through the belt/truss…works very well. It’s comfortable..well..considering..but seems to work keeping things in place. I still work out and cycle and do yoga and other exercise regularly.. Sometimes I use this during workouts, sometimes not. Rarely if ever sleep with it on. Would still like to compare to the Uriel if it’s ever available again. But would recommend giving this one a go. There are others that look good too, but some have a very large pad which I don’t think would work well for me. The pad on this is just enough to put ample pressure where needed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It helps but could be made better.

It does help but I feel that it is made for people with larger legs. the smaller strap that goes around your leg is not as tight but the belt part fits great. To fix the issue, I folded a sock up and put it under the pad to help put enough pressure to keep the hernia in better. It's not a 100 % fix but it does help with getting around and doing things while I wait for surgery.
