Could it use some improvements; yes, of course. The valve in the handle is sometimes sticky but it may be the gas starting to freeze the valve. A: We recommend that you use 14oz MAPP / Pro GAS

A: Yes

**Q: I notice many torches specify "large diameter pipe" when explaining its soldering capability. Is this torch not recomended for small diameter copper?**
A: I am 99% sure you can use it for small diameter pipe.

**Q: Can this be used with a 1-pound propane?**
A: If you mean regular propane tanks used for torches yes. If brazing it works best with MAPP gas, It will braze with propane but Mapp heats faster.
