One of the two is a backup in case the first one fails. I have read on many forums that the Milwaukee adapters were crapping out left and right. Basically you take a charged battery and put it in the adapter and when you push the button to check the battery level you just get one flashing light. The adapter is shot at that point. The Milwaukee adapters and the replacement ones are both manufactured in the same country, take that for what you want. These replacement ones are better than my original one, my jacket is probably seven years old at least, the new ones are similar to Milwaukee's touch up adapter. You can charge your battery with a USB cord or still remove it from the adapter and use your charger. The charger is faster than the USB but the USB did charge all the way up and didn't take much longer. There is a light that goes from red to green when the USB charging is complete. That is a nice feature. It still had the USB out port to run your phone or whatever and there is still the button to push to check your battery level. It is still working great. It doesn't say Milwaukee on it but who cares if it works. Looks and feels like the originals. I would recommend one. By the way, Milwaukee wanted 68 bucks for there's.
