Very bright and sweet with full tomato flavor
These crushed tomatoes have a good balance of sweet and tart, with a strong tomato flavor right out of the can. These canned tomatoes are an easy grab-and-go staple for home cooking. The crushed tomatoes walk the line between smooth purees and chunkier diced tomatoes. I used them in quick-cooking sauces and soups where their sweet, bright flavor can shine. These crushed tomatoes are chunky, with relatively few pieces of unpleasant, plasticky skin left in.

As good as everyone says
This is a three pack of 28 oz cans of SMT San Merican crushed tomatoes. San Merican tomatoes are of course an iconic brand, seen on many cooking shows for years and years. They are grown in the US and always have been...I think there's been some confusion about that so the label art got updated, but it was never hidden from anyone who wanted to look. I've never been able to try San Merican tomatoes before because none of the grocery stores near me carry them, so I finally was able to get some through Amazon. I will say these are almost certainly the best canned crushed tomatoes I've ever had. There is no trace of that tinny flavor that most canned tomatoes have. They are a vibrant red, and the texture is excellent...crushed, but not completely pulverized like many other brands of crushed tomatoes. The flavor is balanced with both sweetness and acidity. There is a very basic sauce recipe right on the label, which I made just as written. It was great and the quality of the tomatoes really came through. I then jazzed it up with fresh basil and oregano to use for pasta sauce, and with just these few ingredients and a relatively short cooking time, it's an excellent pasta sauce.

These are not San Marzano tomatoes it’s a scam
These are not San Marzano tomatoes. They are grown in the United States and intentionally labeled to mislead you. If you look closely, they say San Mericano tomatoes. They are plain tomatoes from California. Do not be fooled. Do not buy them if you want San Marzano tomatoes these are a scam to get you to think they are what you want. They should be sued.
