Double shampooing is jot necessary as the first cleanse is sufficient, but if you have product build up then two applications of shampoo will be needed as this is not a clarifying product. It's ideal for damaged, processed or bleached hair specifically. I also use the rest of the Redken Acicid Bonding range in my routine and wouldn't be without it. The shampoo specifically lasts 4-5 months and I double cleanse with it twice per week. I love Redken's formulas in general and they're very well made.
