But I and my fellow potters love May o stroke and coat. **Q: What would happen if you don't fire these and just let them air dry?** A: They should be fired if you are hand-building or throwing a clay pot. The undercoat can be used on wet clay or air-dried clay (aka greenware) and then bisque fired in the kiln, or after it is bisque fired brush it on before the final firing. Otherwise, for example, if you are just putting it on plaster, you can use acrylic paint for that. But it needs to be fired because it would not be it's true color or it could crack or flake off. I hope this information helps. **Q: What cone do they fire to?** A: These glazes fire to: Cone 06-05 (1828°-1888°F, 998°C-1031°C). **Q: Can you mix colors** A: Yes you can mix Mayco Stroke & Coat but I am not sure about mixing other Mayco paints.
