We do have a combo pack (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N77TZ83) that includes a pinch guard that will prevent the door from closing in addition to Door Buddy preventing the door from opening beyond a certain amount. :) The Combo pack should work great for this purpose. We do not recommend installing Door Buddy directly on a wall due to the strength of the adhesive. We recommend installing on the door and door frame only. However, if your only option is installing the one side on the wall then you can prep the surface with 3M Paint Protection film first and then install Door Buddy on top of it.
