They are meant to limit noise exposure. My son uses them while playing the electric guitar. **Q: How do I connect the cord to the earplugs?** A: You stretch it around the earpiece. I preferred it around the upper portion. **Q: Are these compatible with Loop brand ear plugs?** A: I don’t think so. They weren’t good for the eargasm ear plugs.
