It's beautiful in color, detail, and has the perfect size and weight. No, I take that statement back. This item actually EXCEEDED my expectations. I thought with it being made of resin it would probably look plastic/fake. It doesn't. My husband was wanting a shield to hang near his swords and I knew he would not be using it for anything other than a wall decoration so I just couldn't justify spending a couple of hundred dollars (or more) on a nice looking metal one that could function. Had he planned on carrying it anywhere, I might have felt differently but he himself said there was no sense spending that much on something to just hang on the wall. The metal shields meant more for decoration looked so cheesy, like tin really, I didn't want one of them in our home. Once hung on the wall, this looks very believable making it the perfect compromise of my higher standards and my unwillingness to loosen the grip on my wallet.
