You can also use the summer to your advantage by placing your waxed fabric in the sun until the wax is melted then let it cool. If it's a single layer of fabric, not a lined jacket, you can place the fabric between two pieces of parchment paper and iron it. I was going to try a new method of using a heating pad under the fabric, I'm not sure yet if it will work but it seems like it would. If you just put on a light layer you can rub it in with your fingers. Use a heat gun. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Glad I Chose Otter Wax *by J***B on 19 February 2026* Used this on my wife’s waxed cotton jacket. Applied it in an orderly manner section by section. I warmed each section first with a hair dryer and then rubbed the wax on, and into, the material. It went on very smoothly and any small chunks were easily rubbed into the material. Visible wax along the seams melted away with a little more heat as necessary. One bar will go a long way. I didn’t know what to expect but I couldn’t be happier with either the process or the result.
