I have 20+ gallons in 5 gallon cans that is 3+ years old this spring. I put a double dose in the cans and the generator and let it sit for a day. I give the generator a few pulls over that time to clear the old gas out of the line and it starts right up again every spring! Star brite says it only lasts 2 years, but I think if you add a new dose every year it might last way longer than that. My gas is 3 1/2 yrs old and still runs fine. **Q: I have heard if someone uses this product,there is no need to fog the cylinders in an outboard for storage. Is this true?** A: It is always a good idea to fog the cylinders for any length of storage. Not all oils leave enough residue on the internal parts to fight off corrosion from water and fuel. Each is hard and has bad effects especially if your using ethanol fuels. This would help prevent corrosion.
