I started off with one capsule the first day and then went to two daily for five days. The infection cleared up well. Later I used it after coming down with flu like symptoms. I did the same regimen and I felt better within a couple days. It's hard to say if it's a coincidence or not, but I didn't get worse. It did create loose bowels so maybe that's what my body needed. The capsules have a strong grassy/herb smell. So I would say it's quite fresh.
