Review: This Stuff is Pretty Fantastic! But Some People Just Don't Get It... - This stuff is pretty awesome (if used properly)! it literally dissolves away rust. It may take a few applications of this spray along with some scrubbing and washing but it does definitely work. The problem: If many people are anything like my roommates, they assume that this spray is just magic and will make a super rusted old car look brand new. It's not magic. That doesn't mean that you can't remove a lot of rust from something, It just removes rust little by little over a period of time and possibly several applications. So far I've used this stuff to de-rust some of my car parts (just spraying it under my car every 15-20 minutes several times), bike parts, metal light switch covers, tools and as shown in the photos attached, some cabinet hinges, shower head and other metal parts in my bathrooms (and many other metal parts). Unfortunately I didn't take before and after photos of everything I've de-rusted but these hinges and the shower head only got a single application and this is what they looked like ~15-20 minutes later. Like I said, it definitely works. If you've got something that's VERY rusted, you might want to get the gallon container of this and put it in a bucket (along with your rusted part) to let it soak. I've also dumped it into my ultrasonic cleaner and that works REALLY well. Removes every bit of rust. If you can't submerge the part, then just give it several applications of this stuff, keeping the part wet for the most part. And then scrub and clean it in between to see its progress. I should also mention that I've now gone through at least 5 different "rust-removing" agents and none of them (besides straight up acid [which is dangerous]) have done as good a job as this stuff. Only downside is probably the smell. Spray it in a well-ventilated area if possible and after you remove the rust, rinse it, try it with a towel, give it an hour to dry the rest of the way and then coat it in something like "Sta-Bil rust prevention spray or something (if possible) to keep it from getting rusty again. Bottom line: It's my new favorite rust removing chemical! Love this stuff :)

Amazeing product. cleans off rust/ oxidation. old rusted tools can be jus left soked overnight and they would be rust free. Difficult to use on painted / chrome plated objects which are rusted.
