I had a friend that ruined all his seals in his Bunn after he used Ammonia. If you smell the Durgol I don't think there is any ammonia in it. I have been using it in my Gaggia espresso machine and zojirushi coffee maker for years and works well. **Q: how long does it take to finish ?** A: How long does the process take? Let the descaler work by leaving the solution in the machine for approximately 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, empty the water reservoir of any remaining mixture. The next step is to rinse the machine meticulously using clean water. Depending on your machine that could take 30 minutes to an hour. Bring the water up to temperature three times, rinsing between each boil with cold, clean water. This take a fair amount of time. I hope that helps you. **Q: Has anyone used this for a La Marzocco machine?** A: I have not used it on that brand but have for a couple of years on a Saeco and on a Jura E8 with no ill effects that I am aware of. Historically I would buy a powder sulfate product and mix with water.
