Review: Does the job very well - I was looking for a solid expandable outdoor outlet cover that would allow me to install an A/C powered camera outside. This cover fit the bill. After plugging in, you run the wire out of the little hole on the bottom right hand side. Then you press the lid closed and feel it snap firmly into place. The sides of the unit expand sort of like an accordion so you can expand or compress to get the perfect fit for your plug while also keeping the elements away from the outlet. The little window also helps so you can keep an eye on outlet conditions. It definitely is worth spending the couple extra bucks to get this unit. The difference in quality really shines through. I'm very confident that no water will be getting into my outlet at *all* with how solidly this unit seals shut. Review: Awesome, attractive outdoor outlet cover for weatherproofing - I bought several of these and used the first one to install a PoE camera on the side of my home. I already had the outlet and wiring, but needed a waterproof receptacle to run the cable and allow some flexibility. These units are really innovative; they have an opening which when put in the bottom allows cable to come out without letting water get in. They are flexible enough to allow movement and easy installation, and they look really nice, to boot! I'm glad I found these. I have several more cameras to install and I'll continue to use these. This camera has been up for 6 months or more, and there's been zero water ingress despite some pretty torrential downpours during that time. ## Features - EXTRA DUTY EXPANDABLE COVER: This TayMac Outdoor Comforts cover expands from 1 in. to 3 in. and carries an EXTRA DUTY compliance rating for outdoor in-use protection. - DURABLE POLYCARBONATE BUILD: Polycarbonate and synthetic neoprene rubber resist dry rot, cracking, and sun damage, keeping the white finish weatherproof through every season. - QUICK-FIT MOUNTING INCLUDED: An attached gasket and mounting hardware ship with the cover, and the Quick-Fit keyhole system installs it in under a minute. - 16-IN-1 GFCI-READY FIT: U-Fast Adapter System Technology supports 16-in-1 configurations pre-set for GFCI receptacles, mounting vertically or horizontally as needed. - CULUS LISTED, NEMA 3R RATED: cULus Listing, NEC compliance, and a NEMA 3R rating back this Outdoor Comforts cover for dependable outdoor electrical protection. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00OHRNX0G | | Best Sellers Rank | #6,721 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #11 in Electrical Outlet Covers | | Brand | TayMac | | Brand Name | TayMac | | Color | White | | Configuration | Single | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,846 Reviews | | Finish Type | Powder Coated | | Finish Types | Powder Coated | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00050169917428 | | Included Components | 1-Gang Weatherproof In-Use Cover | | Installation Type | Screw-In | | Item Dimensions W x H | 4"W x 6.11"H | | Item Highlight | EXTRA DUTY Flat Nonmetallic Design Mounts Horizontally or Vertically, Horizontal Outdoor Outlet Cover, NEMA 3R, UL Listed | | Item Type Name | EXTRA DUTY 1-Gang Weatherproof In-Use Expandable Outlet Cover | | Item Weight | 6.4 ounces | | Manufacturer | TayMac | | Manufacturer Part Number | ML500W | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Warranty | | Material | Polycarbonate | | Material Type | Polycarbonate | | Model Number | ML500W | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 4"W x 6.11"H | | Switch Type | Decorator | | UPC | 050169917428 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** TayMac - **Color:** White - **Finish Type:** Powder Coated - **Material:** Polycarbonate - **Product Dimensions:** 4"W x 6.11"H ## Images ![TayMac EXTRA DUTY Expandable 1-Gang Weatherproof In-Use Cover, White - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51cfCMt-7BL.jpg) ![TayMac EXTRA DUTY Expandable 1-Gang Weatherproof In-Use Cover, White - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51XS7JnBYxL.jpg) ![TayMac EXTRA DUTY Expandable 1-Gang Weatherproof In-Use Cover, White - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51ys9+-ncoL.jpg) ![TayMac EXTRA DUTY Expandable 1-Gang Weatherproof In-Use Cover, White - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61e4-8Oc1UL.jpg) ![TayMac EXTRA DUTY Expandable 1-Gang Weatherproof In-Use Cover, White - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81cJj64TdPL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job very well *by S***N on September 15, 2021* I was looking for a solid expandable outdoor outlet cover that would allow me to install an A/C powered camera outside.
