**Q: What type of cable is required to use with this connector?**

This connector is rated for round cord types S, SO, ST, 8/3+10/1 to 4/4, .83 minimum to 1.25-inch maximum (21.1 to 31.8 mm) diameter, with a terminal capacity of 8 AWG to 4 AWG for line contacts, and 10 AWG to 4 AWG for the ground contact. **Q: What material is the center ground pin made of? It seems prone to corrosion.**
A: The center pin is an alignment pin, not the ground connection.  This alignment pin is plated steel. Hope this help, thank you for your inquiry!

**Q: My generator out put is 120/240v 30a locking outlet but i need to plug into 50amp transfer switch. can i just attach this to a 30 amp cord?**
A: You should check with a local licensed electrician on any code restrictions.   Technically, since your generator has a 30 amp output, using a larger amp plug should not matter.
