Worked perfectly in a 4x4 concrete deck block from Lowes. Use 1/2 inch SDS masonry drill bit and hammer drill. Drill depth is the length of anchor plus 1/4 inch. Vacuum or blow out the dust from the hole. Use safety equipment for eyes, ears and a mask when drilling. Gently tap the anchor into the hole. Gently tighten the nut with the appropriate socket. Don't go torquing it down too tight.

**Q: what size drill bit do you use for this 1/2 anchor**
A: I used a 9/16 bit, but had trouble seating the insert and stem, I would use a 1/2" to get a better grab in the concrete.

**Q: How deep do these need to be set? I have the 4 1/2" X1/2" bolts.**
A: the threaded portion needs clear of the hole and give your self a little room below it so  what ever your securing down has seating point.  its more of an eye ball thing than a prescribed  go this deep

**Q: What’s the thread size on the 1/4” anchor? 1/4-20? semantics aside, correcting from lag to anchor, what is the thread?**
A: UNC 1/4-20

**Q: What’s the thread size on the 1/4” lag? 1/4-20?**
A: This is not a lag bolt.  Its an anchor bolt.
