With whichever dye you use, you'll need to do it in some kind of container (I use big plastic totes). If the product is mainly polyester, I would suggest this as apposed to the basic dye. It needs to be able to soak in very hot water, hotter than what goes in the washing machine. Plus, dumping a bunch of dye in the washer might mess up the washer for further use...
