The ears slip on over real ears like a rubber piece! **Q: Will this fit a child?** A: Yes, in fact they are for a child, although it doesn't say in the description. **Q: How do you keep them on?** A: They slide over the ears, and actually stay on fairly well. My 8 year old child is going to wear them for Halloween and they stay on his ears, as well as mine. They have a flap in the back. Hope this helps! **Q: What material are they made of? I have latex allergy and want to be sure what they are made of.** A: I believe they are plastic. My daughter and I used them for Purim and she also has latex and rubber allergies.
