Does it etch the floor and/or change the appearance of the tile?** A: It is an acid, and does etch the tile. Only you can know if it is acceptable. It does work well in a shower. **Q: Is it difficult to get the floor clean after application (for regular floor cleaning)?** A: Since I applied this in a shower area, the floor stays fairly clean. Besides the usual cleaning, I have never had any troubles with this product. To date, floor is still non slippery. **Q: it says to neutralize it, what do you use to do that** A: Plain water works but you can also mix it with 1/4 to1/2 tbs of baking soda per quart. **Q: Can this be used on exterior honed granite? The honed granite is a public walkway in a city so lots of foot traffic.** A: I am not sure. I used it on floor tile that someone had installed outside a front entrance. As per instructions, I pre-tested on an extra tile to determine the optimum time to leave the product in contact with the shower floor. This is highly recommended in order to balance the amount of colour fading vs. increase in friction. I wound up settling on 3:40 and have an extremely slip resistant floor with slight lightening of the tile. Colour difference is not overly noticeable after treatment.
