I ordered this because I want to use it in my kitchen. That I did not want it to move around on my tile floor, and I want to be able to wash it because obviously food would drop on. I chose the green it’s beautiful. It does not move north doesn’t scrunch up under your feet to trip over it. I will say though my dog likes it a lot, so I can see where people would use it for their pets bed since very easy to watch, it is not very thick or Padded. But let’s cereal and such is nice and soft. I hope this helps I don’t think you’ll be disappointed
