Anything that contacts with it will be stuck. **Q: Can this be applied to painted walls?** A: Dont think it would work to well. Would peel paint off. Intended to put on glass. The light draws the flys to it. **Q: How do you remove the film when it is full of flies? Is it easy to remove?** A: Start peeling off from one end then fold in middle and stick it back onto itself. Flies are a constant problem outdoors, and indoors. It is very tough to find a good solution for indoor flies. I was reluctant to use these strips because of film left on the window and a strip filled with bugs is not pleasant to look at. As far as film on the window these really are great. They don’t leave a big mark that you have to scrub off. Yes they get filled with bugs so you’ll want to change them so it’s unpleasant looking however these have been the number one best solution to flies in my house that I have found. I put them on almost every window in the house. I even put them on outside windows as well. They work extremely well for fly control in the home. No type of light, candle, scent etc..compares to what they catch.
