Yes, it's expensive for foil. But if I had to pick just one thing to splurge on in the kitchen to make life a bit simpler, this would be it. Food isn't wasted from being irreversibly glued onto the foil, and it makes cleanup quick and easy. As my mother annoyingly says, this foil is "a woman's best friend." Different generation and mindset, I know, but I still have to roll my eyes every time she says it-which is actually somewhat frequently, since we cook together fairly regularly and talk about how great this foil is every time we use it. The non-stick part really works, and it's nice and thick, so you almost never get those tears and leaks that happen with crappy foil where you end up having to scrub the whole pan anyway. They also make a larger "grill" size, which is perfect for big sheet pans, so I keep one of each size on hand. Who roasts veggies in the oven all fall and winter long and never has to scrub a baking pan? I coat chicken breasts with a honey/mustard glaze, and each serving releases with no sticking whatsoever. Oven-roasted veggies? same thing. Cheese-filled flanksteak rolls? melted cheese will not stick.I couldn't live without it. Well, I guess I COULD, but I don't want to. It makes life soooo much easier. I won't speak to the price here, because I've seen it range from MUCH lower than my local supermarket to VERY high plus postage.
