A: Yes they can chew through any type of plastic. But for them it may not be worth all the work for food. I have seen rats and squirrels chew through med thickness metal. Never under estimate their teeth. Hope this helps. I have worked with and owned both rats and mice.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the 6.5L container?**
A: I have a 4.1 L container (fits a bunch of spinach perfectly, keeps it fresh over a week. ) my container measures 9 inches long, 7 Inches wide, 6.5 inches tall.  The bigger container will be larger, hoping this helps somewhat.
