For this one, you don't actually have to be a male athlete with perfect physic. This brace actually fits a smaller woman. 5'4" and 135 it fits. I got gray S/M. Do need someone to help get it right the first time around, but after that you can put it on yourself. One thing I did notice, if you put it exactly right to sit in place where you need it, the strap around needs to go right under the armpit and that makes it somewhat uncomfortable on the skin. I put a soft cloth on top of the strap in that place and all is well. Very comfortable and it doesn't allow me to put my arm in position where it hurst. Considering in how much pain there is, that is a great thing.
