Driving the vehicle home the struts started making a growling noise when turning left or right. Took the vehicle back to the shop that installed them and they thought that it was a spring seating on rubber that was the problem on the upper mounting brackets. They applied lubricant but no improvement was experienced, they still made noise. I then took the vehicle to the Honda Dealer and they stated the issue was bad upper mounting brackets and that new struts, installation and alignment would be $1,300. The catch is that I bought front struts & rear shocks together for a parts and installation & alignment labor cost of about $1,000. So far I have no problem with the rear shocks but to get a refund for the struts I would have to remove the shocks in order to receive $344 package I bought. So I have learned my lesson I will not remove the shocks unless they present problems and eat the $344. I learned a long time ago "You can't get out of a hole by digging". In the past I have replaced strut cartridges and rebuilt the spring & upper mounting assembly but at the age of 70 my mechanic days are mostly behind me for such work.
