Instantly improve the combat abilities of your troops with specific upgrades. Soften up an enemy position with artillery fire, carpet-bombing, or offshore shelling, or launch ballistic missiles. Wage epic sky battles with more than 30 types of aircraft, such as Sopwith Camels, Spitfires, F-15s, Apache gunships, and B-2 bombers. Fight massive naval engagements with more than 40 different ships, from 16th-century ships of the line to modern aircraft carriers. Board and capture enemy vessels. Train colossal and intelligent mechs to fight the battles of the future. In Empire Earth , the military option is just one possible path to victory. Surreptitiously convert an enemy's citizens with furtive priests. Instruct a prophet to invoke devastating calamities, such as volcanoes, earthquakes, and plagues. Pick away at opponents' populations by taking over their citizens. Construct wonders of the world that endow your civilization with special abilities while demonstrating its superiority. An Epic Conquest Spanning 500,000 Years! The creator and lead designer of the award-winning, best-selling Age of Empires Rick Goodman has conceived Empire Earth to be the premier historical real-time strategy game, offering players unprecedented freedom to customize both the historical scope of their game and the character of their civilizations. Improving upon the Age of Empires interface, Goodman and his team are making Empire Earth as accessible as Age with far more excitement and depth.

Review: Great game that's 10 years old - I bought this game almost 10 years ago for my old Window XP PC, and after so many years I decided to look it up and buy it for that Nostalgic feeling. First off I love the game though the graphics take a little getting used to since I am normally running Direct10x games with Graphics on Ultra-Max setting. Playing this game and seeing how much RTS games have improved since 10 years ago still mind boggles me. I'll only be giving a Tech Review which is really quick, as for a Game review...unless you grew up playing it, or it was one of your first RTS games I doubt you'll like it. Most people are looking for some new next gen game, and at the time this game was created it probably was. I've noticed alot of reviews complain that it looks choppy, you could count the pixels on the screen, or the units look like MineCraft quality...guess what this was made in 2001! over 12 years ago, don't expect it to compete to today's RTS like Starcraft 2. Now on to the Techie part of my review, My PC is running on Windows 7 Ultimate, and from my experience Installation was fast, smooth, and without any problems what so ever. I have a: i7 960 processor 12 GB's of RAM 500 7200rpm hard drive Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 graphics card Asus Rampage III Formula LGA 1366 Motherboard So overall I can confirm that this is Windows 7 friendly (atleast for me). I've added some pictures so you guys can see what how the case looks like.
Review: Great game, but you'll need an older computer - I absolutely love playing this game. I had the expansion already at home but had lost the original game. My only downside, which is my fault and not the games, is that my computer is apparently too "new" to run this game. So after getting this and the expansion installed, I could not run the game. After looking the problem up, it seems to happen more often than not these days. If you want to play this game I would recommend having a computer built before 2010 just to be safe, so you can have assurance that it will turn on and play.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great game that's 10 years old
*by E***E on January 24, 2013*

I bought this game almost 10 years ago for my old Window XP PC, and after so many years I decided to look it up and buy it for that Nostalgic feeling. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great game, but you'll need an older computer
*by J***S on July 9, 2015*

I absolutely love playing this game. I had the expansion already at home but had lost the original game. My only downside, which is my fault and not the games, is that my computer is apparently too "new" to run this game. So after getting this and the expansion installed, I could not run the game. ### ⭐ Fails to run in single player without internet connection
*by M***M on July 13, 2012*

I was unable to play this game after installing it. Once installed, I launched the game, then selected (single player) campaign from the main menu. My firewall popped up with a message saying Empire Earth was attempting to connect to the internet. The game then locked up. I have a dial-up connection that was not connected at the time. Repeated attempts to run the game caused the game to locked up again at the same point (with no error messages, even with internet connection working). If this game needs to have an ongoing internet connection while playing (single player), it should list that as a requirement so customers don't waste their money on a product like this. If you want to play a good RTS, play either Rise of Nations (historical RTS) or Universe at War (futuristic RTS) instead of this game.
