This lens design actually utilizes the lens barrel to shade the front lens element when focusing at distance subjects. Fourteen aperture blades form a close-to-circular aperture, capable of creating creamy shallow depth of field. - Full frame macro shooting the lens barrel is made of metal for maximum strengthen and durability.
