It can irritate my *own* ears! This is a very loud whistle. Perhaps not well suited for outdoor use in the winter (licking flag pole problems; I'll find out this winter). I am very pleased with it, although I did change the retention ring (to a key chain split-ring) and I plan to change the lanyard to a break-away type. **Q: Does this whistle have a pea?** A: Yes **Q: Is this as loud as an emergency whistle or a rape whistle?** A: It’s like a normal whistle. It’s durable, it’s loud, and it does its job. **Q: Is the Lanyard removable?** A: Yes..there’s a hook that connects it to the whistle. Just slip the lanyard out🤗 ## Frequently Bought Together - Crown Sporting Goods SCOA-001 Stainless Steel Whistle with Lanyard – Great for Coaches, Referees, and Officials by - Zando Womens Stripes Thin Tube Socks Thigh High Tights Over Knee Socks Casual Knee High Stockings Striped Thigh Highs - Leg Avenue Women's 3 Pc No Rules Referee Costume with Bodysuit, Belt, Choker --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/262234-crown-sporting-goods-scoa-001-stainless-steel-whistle-with-lanyard](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/262234-crown-sporting-goods-scoa-001-stainless-steel-whistle-with-lanyard) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
