Review: Fun & Educational - I want to buy these for every kid I know. My 16 month old knows how to point out and make sounds for so many animals because of these! She learned monkey, fishy, puppy dog, kitty cat, lion, tiger, cow, pig etc. It’s a fun game for her but she’s also learning so much. I love that the whole backing to the animals is magnetic; I don’t have to worry about her swallowing a tiny magnet or anything. The only negative thing I can say about these is that after so many times of baby putting them in their mouth, the pictures will slightly wear. Review: Awesome, mommy time! ha! - I love these things although I just got them, so I can't really say as to how much they hold up I do have a clear gloss spray paint in my garage so I might end up spray painting them all just to make sure they stay on cuz I see in some reviews that it has some peeling issues I'm wondering if maybe that would solve that issue, but so far these things are amazing. I have like I guess I was blessed because I have metal doors in almost every door in my house is metal, so we can put these on any door we want to or you know the appliances or whatever you can see in my photos like she has them everywhere she's got them on almost every single door she's got them on all the appliances and she hasn't stopped playing with them for the last hour since we got them so I don't know how long they'll keep her attention but for now that's all she's doing is walking around playing with these magnets on every door in the house LOL so they're definitely mom approved to me anyways, and luckily my baby she's already starting to do ABCs and one two threes so really that's why I wanted to get magnets in the first place is to have something we can play with basically anywhere in the house that I could teach her her letters and numbers at the same time so these work really well for that but she does know like half the animals she already knows all the animals but they're still fun to play with move from door to door move from appliance to appliance she loves doing it so definitely if you have a lot of metal surfaces in your house this would be amazing for you as a mom. Cuz it will give you some time to yourself LOL and you actually have to get up and go look for your child because your child is being so quiet that you're not sure if they're getting in trouble or if they're just occupied and most of the time it's just that she's occupied LOL so yes definitely that's my review if you want something that's going to keep your child's attention for a while these are definitely it if you've got a lot of metal services in your house these are definitely it if you just need a 10 minute break quiet time to yourself these are it LOL I will probably edit in about a month or two just to show durability but I mean they're magnets what more can you possibly want from them they're just magnets like they're not cheap little foam plastic magnets that fall apart in two seconds you know these are for the most part would backing with what looks to be a picture printed on the front you know but the magnet covers the entire back of each piece so they hold up on the refrigerator pretty well. ## Features - Colorful Wooden Animal Magnets: Includes 20 durable wooden magnets featuring farm animals, zoo animals, and pets; Easy for small hands to place on magnetic surfaces like fridges or whiteboards - Educational Preschool Toys: Montessori-inspired learning toy that supports early childhood skills like color recognition, sorting, storytelling, and fine motor development at home or in the classroom - Screen-Free Imaginative Play: Durable child-safe wooden magnets with smooth edges for hours of play; inspiring creativity and storytelling for solo or group playtime at home or as a travel toy - Gift-Ready Storage Box: Comes in sturdy case for organization; thoughtful birthday, holiday, or everyday gift for toddlers and preschoolers ages 2-5, alternative to toys, games & dolls - Wholesome Play for 35+ Years: Melissa & Doug inspires kid-powered play with its learning toys for kids, baby & toddler toys, puzzles, games, building toys & stuffed animals, dolls, & even a doll house ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000N178E2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,538 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #2 in Magnetic & Felt Playboards | | Brand | Melissa & Doug | | Brand Name | Melissa & Doug | | Color | Multi-color | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 20,601 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00000772004756 | | Included Components | 20 magnets | | Item Highlight | 20 Wooden Animal Magnets, Fine Motor Sorting Play, Storytelling Pretend Play, Toddler Learning Toys for Kids, Ages 2+ | | Item Type Name | Developmental Toys | | Item Weight | 0.1 kg | | Manufacturer | Melissa & Doug | | Manufacturer Part Number | 475 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | No warranty. | | Material | Wood | | Material Type | Wood | | Model Number | 475 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Shape | Square | | Size | 7.9 x 5.5 x 1.55 | | UPC | 000772004756 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Melissa & Doug - **Color:** Multi-color - **Item Weight:** 0.1 kg - **Manufacturer:** Melissa & Doug - **Material:** Wood - **Number of Pieces:** 1 - **Shape:** Square - **Size:** 7.9 x 5.5 x 1.55 - **UPC:** 000772004756 - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![Melissa & Doug Wooden Animal Magnets 20-Piece Set with Storage Box - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710K2oB01qL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: is it a small magnet on the back that could come unattached, or does the magnet cover the entire backside? are they suitable for a 15 month old?** A: The magnet covers the entire back of animals. A 15 month old may find them fun. When you are in the kitchen, they can use them on the fridge or a metal cookie sheet. Take out the smaller animals due to choking hazard. They are made of durable wood...just in case you have a nibbler. Hope this helps :) **Q: Do the magnets have lead in them?** A: I called Melissa & Doug and they verified there is no lead in any of their products (including magnets). Also, all paint is non-toxic. **Q: Have these magnets ever left scratches when used on a stainless steel refrigerator?** A: Yes I took them off my refrigerator because they left scratches and put them on a magnetic board. **Q: Are the images on stickers pressed onto the wood or are they painted on?** A: The images are printed on paper & glued to very nice, smooth plywood with a magnet on the back. The images can be chewed off by a small child. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun & Educational *by M***E on August 26, 2026* I want to buy these for every kid I know.
