I hate the look, sound and lack of function with two cent plastic wheels. Honestly, I didn't know if they existed. I started researching for a while and looked at several models. I chose these because all the others looked generic. These also have a median size in comparison to my current wheels and the oversized 3" option that would make my chair look like a tonka toy. These were also the only all black model. In edition to this they were the only ones I saw with a really thin layer. Which to me makes the wheel look black rather than black and clear while still protecting my floor from scuffs. They are amazing! They're smooth and quiet and they roll so easily. Since I had the office to myself, I spent the next half hour rolling up and down our very long hallway. It was so much fun! There was a period of adjustment because I was so used to pushing hard to move at all that I spent a couple of days crashing in to my office furniture, which was amusing for my co-workers. If I ever leave this job, I will take these wheels with me, and I 'm adding them to my wish list for a home office.
