This ensures you do not get any dirt on your rags and etc you are dipping in the container. I bought two of the buckets myself, I highly recommmend this product. **Q: What is the diameter of the bottom and top of the bucket?** A: As stated by others, it is a standard 5 gallon bucket top dimension of 11-1/4” so you can get a standard Gamma 2 Lid for it. The bottom dimension of these are 10”. **Q: Does this grit guard base work with the grit guard washboard verticle attachment?** A: yup it should work fine **Q: Does the complete wash bucket come with a mit** A: Currently this listing does does not include a wash mitt.
