I am a software engineer, and their software, both for NVR (I have this exact model) and cameras is simply horrible. I wish I knew it before I purchased their products. Mac support is much worse than that for Windows. I am not even able to setup NVR to notify me of motion detection events. And a couple of other things, like NVR records video in .DAV format, and if you download it for playback, you will need to find 3rd party software to play DAV video. I'd stay away from anything sold by Amcrest. **Q: Will this nvr support both poe cameras and wifi cameras simultaneously?** A: Yes. **Q: Anybody tried these goswift cameras on this nvr? goswift 4k ultra hd weatherproof bullet security ip camera | 8mp 3840x2160 | 100' night vision** A: All Amcrest Technologies are Onvif Compliant. If the Goswift 4K cameras are Onvif Compliant then they will run in the unit. However Amcrest recommends running Amcrest Cameras in Amcrest NVR and DVR's for a more full featured overall experience. Amcrest Team **Q: What is the power on the PoE? 802.3af or 802.3at?** A: Uses both af and at ## Frequently Bought Together - Amcrest NV4108E-A2 4K 8CH POE NVR (1080p/3MP/4MP/5MP/8MP) POE Network Video Recorder - Supports up to 8 x 8MP/4K IP Cameras, 8-Channel Power Over Ethernet Supports up to 10TB HDD (Not Included) - Amcrest 5MP Turret POE Camera, UltraHD Outdoor IP Camera POE with Mic/Audio, 5-Megapixel Security Surveillance Cameras, 98ft NightVision, 132Β° FOV, MicroSD (256GB), (IP5M-T1179EW-AI-V3) - Amcrest 2-Pack 5MP UltraHD Outdoor Security IP Turret PoE Camera with Mic/Audio, 5-Megapixel, 98ft NightVision, 132Β° FOV, IP67 Weatherproof, MicroSD Recording (256GB), 2PACK-IP5M-T1179EW-AI-V3 White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/258516410-amcrest-nv4108e-hs-4k-8ch-poe-nvr-1080p-3mp-4mp](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/258516410-amcrest-nv4108e-hs-4k-8ch-poe-nvr-1080p-3mp-4mp) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
