How long is it?** A: It is square and rigid and pivots from the down to the up position. It is less than 1/2" long-maybe only 1/4"? It is a miniature of the type of opening the Breck shampoo bottles used to have in the 1980's if you are old enough to remember. **Q: Is this good for older sewing machines? I have a 1960 model. I am assuming it should be fine. These older ones are made to last.** A: I've used it on a 1900 Singer treadle machine and a 1950 featherweight and it's worked fine **Q: What is the expiration date of the oil? I've checked other places locally, and the oil is expired at every store ( I.e. Craft and big box)** A: My bottle doesn't have an expiration date. My mom has a bottle from 40 years ago that she still uses on her sewing machine and it works fine.
