I found them to be medium consistency, not chewy at all but not squishy, nothing unpleasant texture-wise. Shared with a coworker who agreed they taste pretty solid, good flavor, not like the best jerky ever flavor but tasty and an enjoyable snack. For flavor alone I would say probably 4 stars. It's possible since the bad reviews have been posted that they've addressed any quality issues they used to have. Where they really score is the nutritional side. Natural ingredients, high protein and very low sodium per snack compared to like *ANY* other jerky brand on the market. You will find very few snacks this healthy (if sodium is a concern) that are also this affordable and taste this good. At $20 for 24 sticks (got it thru Subscribe & Save) this is an awesome little protein snack to have during the day.
