Some people even used the spin cycle of their washing machine to dry lettuce. Our easy-to-use Spinner transformed the tool into an everyday kitchen essential.Nearly 20 years later, we revisited the Spinner to make some updates while keeping the top features and original inspiration: a children’s top. With a modern design that complements contemporary kitchens and an improved brake that stops on a dime every time, we think you’ll love our new spin on the classic design. Dry salad greens with a simple press of the soft, non-slip knob. The non-slip base keeps the bowl steady on the countertop, and the updated built-in brake button stops the Salad Spinner for unloading. The basket doubles as a colander, and the lid comes apart for easy cleaning. ## Features - Easy, one-handed operation with patented pump mechanism and brake button - Soft, non-slip knob locks down for storage, and a non-slip ring and wide base keep bowl steady on countertop - Elegant, clear bowl is perfect for serving, and basket can be used separately as a colander - Clear, flat lid allows for convenient stacking when not in use, disassembles for easy cleaning, and parts are top-rack dishwasher safe and BPA Free - Capacity 6.22 qt bowl, 4.95 qt basket, Dimensions 10.5'' x 10.5'' x 6''.Recommended by America's Test Kitchen ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001QTVT4A | | Best Sellers Rank | #847 in Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Kitchen ) #1 in Salad Spinners | | Brand | OXO | | Color | Green | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars (44,299) | | Date First Available | 8 August 2012 | | Item Weight | 1.5 Kilograms | | Material | Plastic | | Model Number | 1155901V4 | | Product Dimensions | 26.67 x 26.67 x 19.05 cm; 1.5 kg | | Special Features | Dishwasher safe | ## Images ![OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner Large Green 1155901 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/711qvwPclFL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can I use this to dry my lanrdy** A: Your Landry probably prefers using a towel. …and really, should’t he be drying himself off by now? **Q: Is this salad spinner BPA free?** A: Yes most oxo products are BPA free, and according to the oxo site BPA free is listed specifically as a feature for this salad spinner. **Q: how to separate top for cleaning SMALLspinner lid?** A: My sinner oxo good grip lid is not clear at all. top part does not separate from bottom part as far as I can see.
