I read about people using lemon, freezing the bag, etc. I'm very particular about water quality and lack of flavor. We have quite nice well water here, and I can't stand any off tasting city water, bad bottled water, etc. I was prepared to go through a whole process to get any residual plastic taste out of this bag, but I found that it was completely unnecessary. I washed the bag thoroughly, along with the tubing and the valves, with warm soapy water just once. There was absolutely no off taste to to the water.
