It won't happen in 2019. Also, in 2018 China reduced manufacturing capacity about 50% in pursuit of reducing pollution and closure of the most polluting factories. That's all done. There should not be a shortage in 2019. **Q: Are the cup handles black or deep blue?** A: Blue. The cups are beautiful and big, holds about a cup and a half of coffee at least. I put it in the microwave with no problem. I love these dishes. **Q: Is this melamine?** A: No this is not melamine. **Q: I bought a lil over a year ago and they are already chipped on edges on 8 of the pieces and it did not take much to chip them. Anything better?** A: They are the worst. It’s in my cupboard but I don’t use!
