It’s not universally compatible with surround sound mixing formats and as such only properly works when the source is also presenting audio in the Atmos format. When the source is Atmos, it’s amazing. When it isn’t, it’s very hit or miss. I wouldn’t use it for FPS games but instead Inwould get a Mixamp or use Windows Sonic for headphones, which is a free, absolutely compatible standard for surround sound mixing for headphones. I’d give Windows Sonic a solid 6.5/10 for positional accuracy. Atmos on an unsupported source could be anywhere from 2/10 to 8/10 depending on algorithms working out positional cues which are mainly compressed and inaccurate on most audio engines. **Q: Does the arctis pro work with the ps4?** A: Yes. The Diablo headset had to be replaced because the padding on the earpieces actually began flaking off, leaving my partner's face and head covered in black specks, and the structure of the product began to deteriorate, too, so it wasn't fitting on his head very well anymore. He was pretty sold on the Steel Series after using the Diablo headset for so long, but he was hesitant to splash out on these (as I am pretty sure he got an insane discount when he brought the original headset he was using). He took the plunge and when the headset arrived -- within a day -- he used it immediately and was blown away by the results.PROS:+ Looks sleek and stylish; LED around the earset changes colour and is very visually appealing+ Retractable microphone+ Sounds is crisp and clear. My partner used a sound-testing website to see how well the headphones worked and was blown away by the sound quality. I also dabble in audio production/engineering for about 5+ years total.(Straight to)The Dark Meat of My Review:-It is a lightweight headset that is snug and comfortable for long hours. (5hr+ without much sweating)-The single adjustable strap/headband is nice, this accounts for the grip/snugness of your headset.-Being wired, the 3 zone RGB effects can be left on and appreciated. Especially the (3rd Zone) mic RGB. haha-The large physical crossfader knob is highly appreciated. (great for mixer or physical volume adjust purposes)-The SteelEngine Software is praise-worthy for its centralization in customization, and very easy to use & adjust.-The ear cups/fabric & cushion material is very soft, light, breathable, and able to provide good acoustic isolation.-The headset cables is long enough and also very light (I don't feel the cable drag)-You don't need it, but the windscreen that comes with is also appreciated.-Compared to Nari Ult. the out-of-box experience is EZ and without much learning curve.With Some CONsiderations:-The left ear cup buttons/adjustments are a crime by design like any other headset. But it's better and well defined when compared to Nari. Ult. or VModa Crossfade. (ie. mute button is large and toggle-able)-The retractable mic at first is curled up (when pulled out for the first time) due to its method of storage, but can be straightened out, over some time.-The cables connections are proprietary (not your usual micro-USB or 3.5mm cable) and replacement accessories should be OEM, but I believe generic replacements can be used. (that said, it does have a 3.5mm conversion cable)-Sound quality is 2nd compared to Razer Nari Ultimate, something is off about its surround sound. (again when compared the Nari Ult.) I cannot accurately pinpoint enemy footsteps especially when within approx. 5m proximity. (with all EQ settings on both headsets being default and flat)-COD: MW/Warzone (2019) sounded better overall when I use the "Studio Reference" or the flattest EQ setting.For some reason, any other EQ Boosts (in COD:MW audio setting) sounded lacking in its boosts in EQ. (I likely need further tinkering) When compared to Nari Ult. it sounded best w/Boost Low & w/haptic turned on.Bottom Line:I can say this is the BEST (not perfect) headset I owned, even with its flaws mentioned.Nari Ultimate has its Haptic feedback, but Arctis Pro has its comfort, ease of use & adjustment.Bonus Facts:-I bought this because I was tired of getting sweaty and constant tinkering with the Nari Ult.-My research suggested that I do not need the GAME DAC attachment. (save yourself $50+)-I would recommend getting a "MoKo Headphone Stand" ($12) or a case to stash your investment. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing all around! *by on Reviewed in Australia 6 April 2021* I’ve been using these for about a month now and they are just amazing. The headphones themselves are solid and sturdy, and have a tightness that holds them to your ears perfectly. At first, their weight was a little off-putting, but I got used to it after only a few wears and now don’t notice it at all. The sound quality is also amazing. I primarily use them through my Xbox Series X controller, and coupled with the DTS Headphone X app, provide great surround audio. My *only* gripe has been that the retractable microphone can’t fully retract when the pop filter is on, so you either need to take it off each time, or only partially retract the mic, neither of which is ideal.
