We've had lesser slickers made of much lighter wood fly off the edge we are burnishing and crease the edge. A major pain. But not with this burnisher. ONLY complaint is it is a little small, but they all are. This burnisher isn't smaller than any of the other burnishers you'll find out in the marketplace. They're all just a little too small for my hands. They cause cramping after a long session of burnishing. But, this burnisher is hard, heavy and smooth, definitely the best hand burnisher we've used, and we would definitely recommend its purchase, and we would purchase it again if we open another work station.
