Its a little big, but its not tight when I wear sweaters underneath, which is what I was hoping for. I would have given five stars if it had pockets! I added my own, and it was fairly easy if you are a sewing amateur. Overall, I like the cut a lot. I spent an entire hour reading all the most recent reviews and looking at the pictures that were shared. I felt grateful for all the information that I was able to find as I needed these quickly and didn't have the time to order sizers for the girls.However, I was let down by majority of the reviews that were left. They all said it ran too small and to go 2 sizes bigger. Boy was I an idiot for listening to their advise.This a BEAUTIFUL COAT, VERY WELL MADE - and it runs pretty true to size. unless you are planning to where heavy garments underneath or if you have EXTREMELY broad shoulders, this coat should be purchased in your typical size.!Its not heavy weight - the outside material is a crepe stretch (2-way) and the lining is an off white silk.I have been a Professional Seamstress for 22 years now and can tell you there is nothing about this coat that runs small. The sleeves are a bit long but who doesn't love long enough sleeves that actually cover your wrists. I love the way it falls cause it's heavy and the design is so pretty. Other reviewers are right, when they say you should order two sizes up because the sizes on the image are not accurate. Normally, I would wear a size 8 (M according to the photo) but this time I ordered XL and it fits perfectly. Like it was made for me.
