I decided to buy these panels because the reviews were good and some mentioned sound deadening and blocking and of course they dit my budget. Unfortunately i moved from one noisy apartment to another. Walls are like paper in a NY apt. There is no such thing as quiet in NY apartments. These sound absorbing tiles will quiet your room from noise inside and coming from next door but they will not completely block all sound however, i am very happy with the outcome. Not only is my space quieter but the panels added texture and asthetic to the wall. I suggest that you use an online free tile calculator to figure out how many you need to order. There are also tile layout patterns you may want to use to add a little extra detail to the wall. I used the subway pattern and a 30% tile staggering. It Looks great! The tiles i purchased were the camel color 16x12, 6 pack. The tiles look more grey in photo but in prtson thry are a light camel color. As others have mentioned the tiles arent exactly 16x12 just a little less. The wall i was installing the tiles on is not even and my skill is novice so there were some gaps but the finished product looks great. I used scotch double sided tape in four corners and the center and so far its sticking great.
