Kerr 0501 regular mason jar half pint, 8oz (pack of 12)

Q: What is the design on the jars? I am using them for a wedding and I do not want a quilted pattern.

There is no quilted pattern on these jars, only the name Kerr. Similar to the picture shown. We used them for my daughter's wedding last year because her married name is now Kerr! They made for great deco for flowers, candles and even favors.

Q: Are these heat proof?

All Mason jars are heat proof. These jars work best in boiling hot water to seal them. You can also use a pressure cooker canner with these jars for canning. I don't recommend using a pressure cooker unless you really need to. Depends on what you are canning. Do not use them in an oven. Do not open a pressure cooker until it completely cools down. The jars will break. I like bath water canning the best.

Q: Are the made in the USA?

Yes the Kerr jars are made in the USA. However, I like the Ball Mason Jars the best. As far as I know all the Mason Jars are made in the USA. I always buy my canning jars on Amazon.

Q: Do these jars work with foodsaver vacuum?

The food saver vacuum has an attachment that seals the flat lids to the jar. Not to can but to vacuum seal things like dry goods.
